How to mark leads Won or Lost, reopen them and archive them
Close a LeadMapper opportunity as Won or Lost, bring it back into the pipeline when needed and archive records you no longer want in active views.

Close a lead when the decision is known. Archive it when you want to keep the record but remove it from the active pipeline. These actions serve different purposes: a Won or Lost lead records an outcome, while an archived lead is hidden from the usual view.
Mark an outcome
- 1Open the lead from Leads.
- 2Choose Closed in the deal stage stepper, then select Won or Lost. You can also move the lead to its outcome status from the pipeline.
- 3Check the record after saving. LeadMapper records the close date and updates probability to 100% for Won or 0% for Lost.
Add a short activity or note explaining the outcome, especially if a colleague may revisit the account. A Lost lead can still be useful later if timing or requirements change.
Reopen an opportunity
If a conversation restarts, change the lead’s status back to the appropriate active stage. Review its priority, estimated value, probability, expected close date and tasks: figures from the old deal may no longer be useful.
Archive a record you want to keep
Move a lead to Archived when you want it out of day-to-day views. You can select several leads on the Leads page and use Archive in the selection toolbar. Archived leads are excluded from the normal pipeline and its totals. Turn on Include archived to see them again, then change the status if one should return to active work.
