A business in Results is a discovered listing. Converting it to a lead gives you a record for the people, deal and follow-up work attached to that business. Use this when you have a reason to contact it, not just because it appeared in a search.
Choose a business you can explain
Open Results, filter the list and inspect a business. Check its category, location, phone, website and any useful listing details. If you sell websites, for example, “no website listed” is a research prompt, not proof the business has no website.
Open Convert to lead
Use Convert to lead on a result row or on the business detail page. The form starts with the business name and any listed phone number. Replace the contact name with a real person when you know it; do not invent an owner or email address.
- Add a contact title, email and phone if you have verified them.
- Choose an initial status: New, Contacted or Qualified.
- Set Priority according to how soon you want to act.
- Add an estimated deal value only if you have a reasonable estimate.
- Use Tags and Initial notes to record why this business fits your offer. A listing without a website starts with a no-website tag, which you can edit.
The lead score shown beside the form is calculated from listing and contact signals. Treat it as a quick prompt for review, not a verdict on whether the business will buy.
Save the lead and plan the next action
- 1Save the form. LeadMapper creates the lead and offers a link to open it.
- 2On the lead record, check the contact details, status and notes you entered.
- 3Add a follow-up task with a clear action and due date.
- 4After a call, email or meeting, log the activity and move the lead to the appropriate pipeline status.
A business can already be one of your leads. In that case, open the existing lead rather than creating a duplicate. Lead management may be switched off for some workspaces; the conversion action appears only when it is available.
