Acceptable use policy

This policy forms part of the LeadMapper terms of service and applies to every account, search, export and use of our software. Use LeadMapper only for lawful business research and prospecting within your entitlements.

Follow the marketing, privacy and communications laws that apply to you and the people you contact. These may include the Australian Spam Act, Do Not Call Register rules, telemarketing standards and equivalent requirements in other countries.

A public listing is not automatic consent to marketing emails, texts or calls. Establish any required consent or other lawful permission, identify yourself accurately, include required unsubscribe mechanisms and promptly honour opt-outs and do-not-contact requests. Keep records needed to demonstrate compliance.

Do not use the service for spam, harassment, threats, scams, discriminatory targeting, deceptive claims or impersonation.

Only upload, save and export information you are authorised to handle. Respect privacy, confidentiality and intellectual property rights. Do not upload unlawful content, malware, sensitive personal information, payment card details, passwords or API keys.

Use listing information for legitimate research and permitted prospecting. Do not sell access to LeadMapper, republish a bulk listing database, or resell listing data obtained through the service without our written agreement and required source permissions. Prospecting for your business or authorised clients remains subject to applicable law and source rights.

Do not use results for unlawful surveillance, exploiting vulnerable people or bypassing expressed contact preferences.

Protect your account and access only accounts you are authorised to use. Do not share personal logins, obtain another person’s invite code, create multiple trials to evade limits or access another customer’s records.

Do not probe, disrupt or overload the service; bypass credit, rate, trial or feature limits; interfere with security controls; reverse engineer restricted components; or automate undocumented endpoints without permission. Report vulnerabilities privately through the contact page rather than exploiting them.

Respect the terms and rights of data sources, payment providers and tools into which you import results. LeadMapper does not grant third-party rights or authorise conduct prohibited by a platform or applicable law.

Report misuse or security concerns through the website contact page with enough detail to investigate. Do not include passwords, payment card details or unrelated personal information.

We assess reports proportionately and may request information, warn an account holder, restrict functions, remove unlawful content or suspend or terminate access under the terms of service. Serious security risks, fraud or unlawful conduct may require immediate action. We will explain our action and provide an opportunity to respond where practicable.

Enforcement does not remove mandatory refund or other rights under applicable law. Contact us if you believe action was taken in error.
