What is LeadMapper?
Lead generation software for people who sell to local businesses. It searches Google Maps across a whole area, turns the results into one clean list, and gives you a pipeline to follow up.
Who is it for?
Web design agencies, local SEO consultants, lead generation agencies and B2B sales teams: anyone who finds clients by business type and place.
How do I get an account?
Start free: tell us what you sell and where. We’ll email your invite link, straight away or after a short review. Your account comes with 10 free trial credits — 10 searches of up to 20 businesses each, no card needed. Choose a paid plan or a credit pack whenever you're ready.
Do I need any technical skills?
No. Type a business type and a place, choose how much of the area to cover, and LeadMapper does the rest. No code, no browser extensions.
Is LeadMapper connected to Google?
No. LeadMapper is an independent product that works with business listings from Google Maps. It isn’t affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Google.
Searching and coverage
Single searches, grid sweeps, bulk scrapes and what they find.
How grid search worksWhat kinds of businesses can I find?
Any business type people search for on Google Maps: trades, clinics, salons, restaurants, shops and professional services.
Can I search any city or town?
Yes. Type a city, town, suburb or postcode and set the country to target the results.
How does a grid sweep find more than one search?
Google Maps results centre on the point you search from. A sweep runs the same search from a grid of points across your area and merges the results, so you find more of the businesses there. How many more depends on the business type and the area, and it can only find businesses listed on Google Maps.
What grid size should I use?
Start with 3×3 for a small town or single suburb, 5×5 for a suburb or district, and 7×7 for a large city area. Then set the radius to fit the area.
What is a bulk scrape?
One search, such as plumbers, run in many areas at once: every suburb around a place, or a list of postcodes and suburbs you paste in. Each area is searched on its own, one after another, and the results are combined into one list with each business listed once. One run covers up to 500 areas.
Should I use a grid search or a bulk scrape?
A grid search goes deep in one area, searching from a square of points across it, which suits a busy city centre. A bulk scrape goes wide, running your search in each postcode or suburb across a city, region or sales territory. Both return the same business details.
Will the same business show up twice?
No. Results from every search point are merged and duplicates are removed automatically, so each business appears once in a search. A bulk scrape’s combined list does the same across all of its areas.
Do I have to wait for a sweep to finish?
No. Searches run in the background with live progress, and your list fills in as points and areas finish. You can leave the page and come back, and a bulk scrape can be paused, resumed or stopped at any time.
What information do I get for each business?
Name, address, phone, website, rating, review count, categories and opening hours, plus the Google Maps link, price range, service options, open or closed status and coordinates when the listing has them.
How fresh is the data?
Listings are fetched when you run the search, so you see what’s on Google Maps at that moment.
What does “No website listed” mean?
The business’s Google Maps listing has no website. It may still have one elsewhere, such as a social page, a directory profile or a site that was never added to the listing, so check before you pitch.
Does LeadMapper find email addresses?
No. You get the phone number and website when the listing has them. You can add a contact’s name, email and phone to a lead yourself.
Does LeadMapper track rankings or audit websites?
No. It shows what’s on each business’s listing, such as rating, reviews, categories and whether a website is listed. It doesn’t track Google Maps rankings or audit websites.
Filtering, export and the pipeline
Narrow the list, take it anywhere, and follow up.
Export Google Maps to CSVHow do I pick which businesses to contact first?
Filter by rating, category and whether a phone or website is listed, then sort by reviews. Save the best as leads and give each one a priority.
Can I export my results?
Yes. Export a whole search as CSV or JSON, or just the rows you’ve filtered as CSV, in your sort order. A bulk scrape exports as one file, each business listed once with every area it was found in. CSV opens in Excel and Google Sheets.
Can I import the CSV into my CRM?
Most CRMs can import a CSV. When asked, match each column to a field, for example Title to Company and Phone to Phone.
Can I track calls and follow-ups?
Yes. Each lead has notes, tasks with due dates and an activity log for the calls, emails and meetings you record, and moves through stages from New to Won.
What is a credit?
A credit brings in up to 20 businesses from a search. A search keeps going until the area runs out of results, up to 15 credits, so a busy city uses more than a small town.
Why do searches use different amounts of credits?
Busy areas have more businesses to collect. Plumbers in a Sydney suburb might use 11 credits and find approximately 180 businesses. The same search in a regional town might use 4 and find approximately 70.
Will I know what a search costs before it runs?
Yes. When you set up a search, LeadMapper shows the credits it will likely use before anything runs. A single search never uses more than 15, and a quiet area that runs out of results sooner uses fewer.
How do grid searches use credits?
A grid search runs one search at each point, so a 5×5 grid is 25 searches. In a busy city that’s approximately 250 credits, and never more than 375. You’ll see the total estimate before it starts.
How do bulk scrapes use credits?
Each area is one search, which usually uses approximately 10 credits in a busy area and never more than 15; quiet areas use fewer. Before a run starts you see its estimated credits and the most it could use, and you can set a credit cap so no new area starts once the run reaches it.
Do all plans include every feature?
Yes. Grid search, bulk scrape, filters, CSV and JSON export and the lead pipeline are on every plan and every credit pack. Nothing is held back on the cheaper plans: every one can bulk scrape up to 500 postcodes or suburbs in a run, and they differ only by the credits added each month, so you pick the volume you need. You can move up or down a plan at any time, and an upgrade applies straight away.
Can I use this data for cold outreach?
LeadMapper gives you the business details shown on public Google Maps listings. How you contact those businesses is up to you, and the rules on cold calls, emails and messages differ by country. Check the marketing and privacy rules where you and your prospects are, and respect anyone who asks not to be contacted.
Are the businesses shown on this site real?
No. The screens and tables on this site use made-up businesses to show how LeadMapper works. Your own searches show real listings for the places you choose.
