How to avoid repeat areas and cap bulk search credits
Use recent-area skipping, area exclusions and a credit cap to control the scope and possible spend of a LeadMapper bulk search.

A bulk search can cover many areas, so review its area list and possible credits before starting. LeadMapper gives you three controls: exclude areas from the preview, skip areas recently searched for the same term, and set an optional credit cap.
Leave out areas you do not need
After choosing a centre or entering a list, inspect the Map and List previews. Turn off any postcode or suburb outside your territory. Mission plan recalculates the number of included areas and possible credits. This is the most direct way to avoid paying to search an area you will not use.
Skip areas recently searched for the same term
Under Options, set Skip areas searched in the last to a time window instead of Off. LeadMapper checks for areas recently searched for that query and shows how many it will skip. This helps when you repeat a campaign but want to cover only areas you have not searched recently.
The setting is tied to the search term and area. If you change the term or want a fresh run everywhere, review the skip count and turn the option Off when appropriate. Do not assume it will skip every business seen in any earlier search.
Set a credit cap for the run
Credit cap is optional. Enter the most credits you want this bulk run to use. Once it reaches the cap, no new area starts. The current area may need to finish, so use the cap as a planning control and read the estimate shown with it, rather than treating it as an exact final charge.
Review the plan one last time
- 1Confirm the included area count after exclusions and recent-area skipping.
- 2Read Est. credits, including the at-most figure, and compare it with Balance.
- 3Check Search order so the areas you care about appear in the plan.
- 4Start the run only when its territory and possible spend fit your goal.
