Bulk search is only as useful as its area list. Before starting, decide whether you mean every area near a point, every postcode attached to a place name, or an exact list you already have. The preview lets you remove areas you do not want.

Around a place: start from a centre

Choose Around a place and pick a suburb, town, city or postcode in Centre. LeadMapper can show areas Within a chosen distance around it. For a place whose postcodes spread across several areas, it may also offer All of that place. The first option makes a circle around the centre; the second follows postcodes named for that place. They can produce different area lists.

Postcodes & suburbs: supply an exact territory

Choose Postcodes & suburbs when you have a sales list. Enter one area per line, put postcodes on one line separated by commas, or use a numeric postcode range where supported. Suburb names can include a state or region to avoid ambiguity. LeadMapper flags entries it cannot match and tells you when a range includes missing postcodes.

Choose one search per postcode or suburb

This choice belongs to a list you enter yourself. One search per Postcode usually creates fewer, cheaper searches centred on each postcode. One search per Suburb covers the suburbs within a postcode individually. Choose according to the level of local coverage you need, then compare the area count and credit estimate. Around a place needs no choice: it always searches suburb by suburb, so every area sits where a suburb actually is.

Inspect and exclude individual areas

  1. 1Switch the preview to Map to see where the area points sit. Click a dot to leave it out if it falls beyond your territory.
  2. 2Switch to List to check area names and turn individual areas on or off. The list also lets you include or leave out all areas.
  3. 3Review the included count and Mission plan again. Excluding areas changes the number of searches and estimated credits.
  4. 4If the plan says only the first allowed areas were kept, narrow the territory or split it into separate runs.
Check the names and the mapA postcode can contain several suburbs, and a city name can cover a much wider spread than its centre. Review both the labels and their map positions before launching.
